CELL PHONE PROJECT CONTINUES IN MILLERSTOWN
Don’t know what to do with all of your old cell phones after you receive new phones? The solution is quite simple, donate them to be recycled!
Millerstown Community Success, Inc. has been pleased with the response to their recent cell phone drive and wants everyone to know that the drive continues with collection boxes located in area business places including Juniata Valley Bank, Jo Jo’s Pizza, Maggies Tips and Toes, Susie’s Café and Convenience Store, Millerstown Moose Family Center, Hall’s Dairy, and Millerstown Veterinary Clinic, all in Millerstown. Boxes can also be found at Schlegels Hardware and Grocery Store in East Salem, Rite Aid, Highland Presbyterian Church and the Medicine Shop in Newport. Phones can also be given to any MCSI member or persons with cell phones to donate may call 589-3598 to arrange to have them picked up.
MCSI has teamed with Pace-Butler Corporation to sponsor this event designed to recycle the phones to countries where technology is not as advanced as in the United States. Another very good reason to recycle cell phones is to prevent them from being dumped into land fills and contaminating the environment.
Only the cell phones can be donated; the company will not accept accessories or chargers. The project is designed as a community service project of Millerstown Community Success, Inc.
