November 23: 33rd ANNUAL HOLIDAY CRAFT SHOW- A SHOPPERS DREAM Thirty-three years and still going strong and everyone will still be able to shop until you drop when the 33rd Annual Holiday Craft Show in Millerstown opens its doors for one of the longest-running shows of its type in Central Pennsylvania.  November 23 is the day when all roads lead to Greenwood Elementary School in Millerstown Borough where over 100 vendors from throughout Central Pennsylvania and beyond will set up shop for the day to delight shoppers of all ages to find the perfect gift for everyone on their holiday shopping list. Whether its pottery, ceramics, jewelry, wooden items or candy, visitors will find the unique gift at great prices.  The event will be held from 7:45 a.m. until 2 p.m.  There is always a great selection throughout the day as vendors are always well stocked right up until the end of the show. This marks the 33rd year for the popular Craft Show and visitors wont be disappointed with the selection of  vendors at this years event.  Many of the old time favorites are back, but many new vendors have joined the mix.  Greenwood High Schools popular musical group, Out of the Blue, will perform their holiday show on the stage in the large group instruction area at 10 a.m. The sponsors, Millerstown Community Success, Inc. (MCSI), will sell delicious food items throughout the day.  Visitors may enjoy both breakfast and lunch while shopping and visiting with their friends. The craft show is always held the Saturday before Thanksgiving and provides local citizens an opportunity to shop at home to find that perfect gift for everyone.  For additional information, call 717 589-3598. December 1 :  Christmas Tree Lighting As part of the Christmas celebration in Millerstown this year, the Millerstown Lions Club will hold their annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on Sunday, December 1 at 7 p.m on the Millerstown Square. The Millerstown Lions have been lighting up the town for the holiday for many years and recently acquired better LED lighting displays. This year's tree will be multi-colored again this year. The ceremony will be held outside by the Juniata Valley Bank, and Christmas caroling will be held prior to flipping the switch to turn on the Christmas Tree lights which will remain lit until after New Years. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will arrive and hand out treats to the children, and cookies and hot chocolate will be served to everyone present. Please come out, bring your children and grandchildren and celebrate the holiday. Everyone is invited to come out and share in an evening of decorating the town for the holiday season. December 7: Christmas in the Park from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Millerstown Community Park. This event is FREE!  Millerstown Community Park (110 West Juniata Parkway) Date and Times 12-7-2019 11:am - 6:00pm  Millerstown Volunteer Fire Dept. will be having the annual Christmas at the Park. They will be serving their famous French fries, kettle soup, BBQ and much more along with 50 vendors in heated tents for holiday shopping including poinsettias, wreaths, beef jerky, several wineries, wood crafts, unique gifts, live alpacas and much more. A woodcarver will be making carvings as well as a blacksmith and several live performers on the stage including the talented pianist Bryan Herber performing live. Dixie's Darlings dance performers and several local school choir groups will be singing holiday music. Santa & Mrs. Claus will be there along with a workshop and activities for children. Stroll through the lighted park trail decorated with thousands of lights.
