Millerstown Borough Council  Meeting Minutes January 7, 2017 Those in attendance:  President Bill Roush, Vice president Rob Shipp, Council members Jackie Minium, Bruce Hengst and Donna Showers. Secretary Karen Knellinger, Plant Manager Dave Stroup and Jen Miller from HRG. President Roush presided; meeting called to order at 7:00 pm. Public and Private Concerns None The minutes from the last meeting were previously emailed and reviewed. Councilmember Hengst made the motion to approve the minutes as read. Councilmember Minium seconded the motion. Approval was unanimous. The bills/receipts/expenditures were reviewed. Councilmember Minium made a motion to approve the bills and expenditures. Councilmember Showers seconded the motion. Approval was unanimous.   Street Committee Report The executed Maintenance Agreement for Market Street was received form Penn Dot. Sewer Committee Report Dave ordered brushes for the new screens. The UV system has been working fine.  Engineer’s Report Jen advises after her walk through, she will adjust the chlorination changeover plan for the bypass shut off valve outside. This will need DEP approval then the permit can be submitted. Vice President Shipp asked the length of time after the submittal. Jen thinks after the initial construction permit will take a few weeks then the final inspection will only be a few days to be operating. Water Committee Report There is a substantial leak at the Moore’s residence somewhere between the meter and the road. Dave has been trying to assist them in locating it.  Finance Committee Report The reimbursement from Storm Jonas on January 20, 2016 was just received for $4,500. Solid Waste Report None Mayor’s Report None     Solicitor’s Report None Old Business The moling estimate is $3,800, and then two holes will need to be dug. Dave thinks a live tap will be cheapest. New Business None Zoning Permits None A motion was made by Councilmember Minium to adjourn. Councilmember Hengst seconded the motion. Approval was unanimous.
