We are losing about $7,606 a year more than we are bringing in revenue. In January, come to the meeting with ideas for raising revenue. E. Committee Reports: 1. Pool: On Dec.7th at 10:00 in Dauphin Co. Courthouse, there will be a court hearing. At that time our attorney will request that the case should be dismissed. Flat legal fee is $10,000. George will update us as information comes in. (see following up-date as of Dec. 19): [I wanted to let everyone know that the hearing was only to hear the objections of the filing, not to contest the content. Our two objections that were listed are: 1. Remove individuals from the filing. Stephanie and I are listed individually in his lawsuit, in addition to the Recreation Association/Pool 2. Improper filing. He filed this case in Dauphin County, whereas the pool is in Perry County.   Chris has 30 days to submit any information that he wishes to present as to why the actions above should stand. As soon as I hear something back, I will pass on any information.       George] 2. Sports: Baseball & Softball: No report. Football: No report. Soccer: Representative was to attend but did not. They sent thanks for the use of the Park’s soccer fields. Permanent Restrooms: The conclusion of the Ad Hoc committee which met prior to this meeting; it was decided to remove permanent restrooms from the agenda. The con reasons far outweighed the pro reasons. Cons: Maintenance (who would volunteer to do it?), cost of hook-up to sewer system ($25,000+), cost of building ($75,000+), placement of building due to most of the park being in a flood plane, and problems with vandalism, etc. 2. Security Cameras: Nothing new. 3. Campbell Sign: Shane Davis and Frank Campbell are working together to plan the sign. The playground part is finished. 4. Drainage issue in parking area near Black Pavilion: Tim Sagle will be working on it when things dry out from the rain and flooding, probably in the spring. 5. VFW Bronze Plaque: To be placed at the base of the flagpole. Work will begin in the spring. 6. Park and Ride: No progress on this unless the State contacts us. We have not heard anything from the State in months. 7. Adopt a garden: Vicki Shea will ask for volunteers if she is given the locations. 8. Pentagon Show: Will be on June 22, 2019. 6-10PM. A planning committee will be meeting. 9. Pool Pavilion: Pfoutz Valley Methodist Church has volunteered to fix-up this pavilion for us, but will have to wait until flooding has subsided. Tables have been removed due to flooding. 10. Community Band: No date for a performance. 11. Breyer’s Sign: The old sign has deteriorated and must be replaced. Curt is looking into this. G. New Business:                 1. Circus Coming to Park: June 1 & 2.                 2. Harrisburg Symphony: Would like to return to our Park again in 2019, on July 1 or 2.                 3. Stage Trailer: We would like to get rid of it. With the frequent flooding, it often has to be removed. It is not used. Its unsightly and blocks the view of the lovely Juniata River. A railing at the back of the stage would have to be added for safety reasons.                  4. New letters for event sign: Approved: Kelley can order a new set of letters to replace the crumbling ones.  G. Next Meeting: Wednesday, January 2 or 9, (Five Wednesdays in January!) 2019   H. Adjournment: 7:50p.m. Respectfully submitted, Kelley Griswold Upcoming Events: June 1 & 2 - Circus June 22 - Pentagon concert at the park July 1 or 2 -  Harrisburg Symphony in the Park
