Millerstown Recreational Committee   Wednesday, November 1, 2017     Community Park Building A. Call to order: Curt Black called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m. B. Present: MRC: Curt Black (Lions), Kelley Griswold (MAL), Katy Black (Pool), Wil Benner (MAL), Dave Bratton (MAL), Mary Kissinger (Pool), George Moore (Pool), Robert Brofee (Lions), Mark Stroup (MAL), Kirk Allison (MAL), Joe and Teresa Hunker (JCs). C. Secretarys Report:  Minutes October 4, 2017 were approved.  D. Treasurers Report: The financial report as of October 30, 2017 was approved. Note: Community Aid - $230, to date. E. Pool: Boyers Pools will be repairing leaks before next season. George has been dealing with Mr. Hoover from the Welders Shop who was hired to install the new filter system this summer. Mr. Hoover is threatening a lawsuit over lack of payment. The Pool Committee and MRC agree that we have enough evidence to show Mr. Hoovers work left us with an inoperable system, billing for hours that no work was done, and failing to meet the necessary timeline for pool opening. Although he has received basic payment, he is asking for an excessive amount beyond the work preformed. F. Committee Reports: 1. Sports: Baseball & Softball: No report. Football: No report. Soccer: No report. Field Hockey: No report. 2. Community Building and Grounds: The old freezer is gone and the kitchen has been winterized. Christmas decorations will go up on Nov. 26 or 27. The dumpster has been moved to near the Hoverter Pavilion for the winter. Rentals every weekend November through December. Farmers Market: Leah Harold would like to develop a weekly Saturday morning farmers market at the park April- Oct. It was approved (Wil/Teresa) to charge her $50 rental for the first 10 vendors and $25 for each additional 10 vendors. Renee Hetrick would like to use the Park Building a meeting point for parents of her childcare business if there was ever a need to evacuate her home on Mountain Rd. with the children in an emergency. Approved (Kelley/Dave). 3. Outdoor Show 9/9. There are a few outstanding bills left. G. Old Business: 1. Permanent Restrooms: No report. 2.  Security Cameras: Mark has not installed the new cameras yet. 3. Athletic Field lights: No report. 4. Campbell Sign: No report. 5.
