Millerstown Recreational Committee Wednesday, September 4, 2019 Community Park Building A. Call to order: Curt Black called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. B. Present: Curt Black (Lions), Jack Cameron (MAL), Kelley Griswold (MAL), Dave Bratton (MAL), Joe Hunker (MAL), Teresa Hunker (MAL), Robert Brofee (Lions), Den comp (MAL), Sharon Powley (Pool), Maty L. Kissinger (Pool), and George Moore (Pool). C. Secretarys Report: August 7, 2019 minutes were approved. D. Treasurers Report: August 31, 2019 reports of Park and Pool were approved. E. Committee Reports: 1. Pool: Closed August 21. A good season! It is a relief to the Pool Committee that the Park is now responsible for maintaining the area beyond the pool fence (grass area, pavilion, BBQ and rest rooms). 1.i. Fund raisers: February: Gun Raffle, May 21: Sip n Dip at Fairgrounds. 2.  Sports: 2.i. Baseball and Softball: No report. 2.ii. Football: This will be Joe Dormans last year to be responsible for maintaining the water system at the Athletic Fields. The DEP Safe Drinking Water system needs to be extended into the baseball shed since that is where the snacks are being sold. Kurt Howell and Bob Huggins will address this before April 2020. 2.iii. Soccer: No report. 3. Community building and grounds: 3.i. Insulation and heating to kitchen - not yet. 3.ii. Remote door key system - installed, but not activated yet. 3.iii. Soda Machine - sturdier water bottles are being used. 3.iv. Benches - new ones have been ordered. 3.v. Reservation/rental contracts - Teresa has taken over this responsability from Wil. Find her information on 3.vi. Spraying for P.I. - Bob Brofee and Dave Griswold will do. (Sue Brofee has already done it!) 3.vii. Dumpster relocation - From the pool area to near the Hoverter pavilion for the winter at the end of the month. F. Old Business: 1. Security Cameras: A new router is needed. 2. Truck signs: Kirk has put them up. One damaged in recent storms. 3. Cocolamus bridge: It needs cleaned badly. Since the Fire Co. tanker is necessary for water, the cleaning will be done when their help is available. 4. Benches near pool: These old benches installed by the Jaycees; need new boards, but a center support will have to be added to prevent the new boards from sagging. G. New Business: 1. Parson septic/porta-toilets: will be asked to replenish toilet paper and hand sanitizer more often than one a week. H. Next Meeting: Wednesday, October 2. I. Adjournment: 7:31 p.m.  J.
